Mike Hayward was born in Abertillery, South Wales . After training to
teach MATHS Mike decided to move into acting. He gained a place at RADA but
due to lack of funds chose to start work immediately and embark on a career in stage and screen. Amongst his many and varied roles Mike has played the title role in MACBETH, Andre in THREE SISTERS and Malcolm in BEDROOM FARCE. More recently, Fluellen in HenryVI Royal Exchange Manchester. He has also worked extensively at the National Theatre with such directors as Sir Peter Hall, David Hare and Jonathan Miller. His numerous television appearances include a leading role in the well known Scottish soap TAKE THE HIGH ROAD in which he starred for six years, EASTENDERS, CASUALTY, CORRIE, and LITTLE BRITAIN. He won a Fringe First for the One Man Show - "Just About Ready to Jump" (originally "The Audition"), written by A. L. Kennedy. British Council sent Him on tour to
